Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

Right about time... I miss this little "Miscellany Mondays"

1. Spending a week with my granny. You get to hear stories of stories if you stay more than a day with your grandmother. Stories you've never heard before. I love love her.

2. Getting lost in Francine Rivers words. Loving these babies, just finished the first (Her Mother's hope) and started the second and final (Her Daughter's dream), next, I'm going to start with "The last sin eater".

3. The cutest most loving dog in history lives in my room.

4. New fragrance and loving it. I'm all about breezy smells, fresh, clean. This one is perfect I totally recommend it.

5. A movie that I've always wanted to see, "Napoleon Dynamite" and FINALLY got to see it, I laughed the entire movie, it's hilarious. Also recommend it.

6. LOVING this girl with all my heart :) sleepovers are ALWAYS fun when you have friends like her and if this picture doesn't tell you that we were having fun, I don't know what will.

7. The first presentation EVER of the first Christian Symphonic Orchestra of El Salvador. P-R-I-C-E-L-E-S-S. 75 musicians playing for the Lord, one soprano girl and one freaking amazing tenor. Beautiful night.

Now, I didn't take pictures of this, but I found the Live Stream recording, the video is not that great but the sound is very clear and perfect. If you don't want to listen to the whole deal, PLEASE PLEASE take your time to listen to ONE song performed by the tenor I'm telling you about, he made me cry. Go to min. 57. Go HERE

Always be blessed :)

Mix... just a mix.

2.8.11
Sitting in one of our popsicle shops after a long long long tiring day. Still working, my feet hurt and I want to take a shower and go to sleep, still 2 hours to finish the day (at 10:00 p.m.) and I'm just having a tiny moment to think about everything that has happened in this past couple of days. But tell you what: God is AMAZING!

On Sabbath  I was really tired because the "August fair" started a day before and it was a looong day. So I put on the first thing I saw: a plane skirt, a Bubble Dubble Gum t-shirt and snickers... see, I NEVER EVER wear snickers, but then, I was super tired and just wanted to go to church and rest. When we were on our way (I was sleeping in the back) my dad gets a phone call from one of the District Leaders from church and tells him that he's on his way to OUR church with 4 international guests, 2 from the U.S., 1 from Mexico and 1 from Germany.

I was like: ARE YOU FRIKIN' KIDDING ME? tooodayy?? today that I'm wearing THISSSS??? I felt so bad to be honest, I looked terrible, and really I'm not being modest, I really did look terrible. But anyways, what was I gonna do? Have you had one of those awkward situations before? Well, I have. Way too many times for my taste, to be honest.

They got there, such nice guys and you could truly see that they were men of God, except for one. He looked around my age, good looking and dressed like a young man according to his age, I thought it was kinda weird since we're not used seeing missionaries like that, specially so young. He got my attention since the first time I saw him, and not because he was handsome, but for some reason I just didn't know. At lunch time, I served all of them (Have I told you how much I love to serve, before?) and they were content with the food, he had 2 full plates of food (like a proper young-hungry-guy) and we started talking about his camera-which was beautiful-, and then we went to see the Crater with my parents and a couple more brothers who joined us. They LOVED the view.

At night, we went to eat at this restaurant that's at the top of the city where you can see all the city lights which is really nice. I was talking to Julian and then out in the conversation I found out that he wasn't "with them" (the other 2 brothers form the U.S.) but HE JUST MET THEM, literally a day before in the bus that was taking them from Mexico to Costa Rica and because the bus detoured to El Salvador, they had to stay here for a whole day and Julian didn't have a place to stay and heard them talking in English and asked them something because he was frustrated in Mexico's border because the money changers ripped him off and he was worried because he didn't have a place to stay nor money here in El Salvador. They offered him to stay with them and suddenly started talking about God and the gospel, he seemed really interested, asked questions and apparently wasn't uncomfortable by going to church on Sabbath ALL DAY long.

Well, by then... I was just SO AMAZED and shocked about how the Lord works things out for each and every one of us. I'm amazed about how Julian found  them and how everything worked out to be left here. I think this-all of this- is not a plane and simple casualty, This was planned and God wants to reach him and change his heart/life/purpose. I pray that this truly shows him that there is a God that loves him and wants to have a personal relationship with him. I pray SO HARD that he would fall in love with the Lord and will change his life completely. I pray SO HARD that he finds a community of Christian believers back in Munich. I pray SO HARD that everything bad that pulls him away from the Lord will just look like something not comfortable anymore and most importantly NOT Christ-centered. I pray SO HARD that he would really find himself changing for what the Lord does in his life. I pray SO HARD that this experience was not in vane, I pray that the seed was planted well in his heart and that now he would be thirsty to look for more and more and more. And I pray that lives around him will be also changed because of his own change. I know that God will do his part and I know that he will not forsake him.

I think this song represents EXACTLY what I want to say about how it feels like "being found" by God. I know this because I felt the same. So, here it goes, I'm pretty sure you've all heard it before.
