Sabbath in portraits

23.7.11
I don't know if you know this about me, but I have some kind of fascination over portrait pictures. I just love the essence of the people I take picture of. This Sabbath I got the chance to take some shot of my kidos and I L-O-V-E the final results :) so enough said, here they are. Enjoy.

AND THENNNNN I ran out of batteries :(
So that's it folks, hope you liked them.

Miss Megan McGlover

20.7.11
I don't know about you, but one of the ways I get my mind out of stress is by watching funny stuff on YouTube, and trust me, I've seen SO MANY that I can barely remember all of them. BUT, recently, I found this HILARIOUS woman named Megan McGlover "The Weather Report Queen" and I think I've seen pretty much every single video of her and every time... I crack up. Too funny.

And what's so interesting about her (apart from being like -crazy funny-) is that she's a motivational speaker and also a writer. So I found her blog and let me tell you this: That girl can WRITE, and she's also a Christian, so now I'm a fan :)

I don't know if you can actually do this in "blogger world" but I'm gonna Re-blog one of her posts here 'cause I just loved it. Enjoy:
Stand for You
Today I spoke in front of the Council of Commerce at the Atlanta Georgia City Hall, and am completely honored at the distinguished opportunity. I will say however that it was thee topic in which I was monopolized (I think I made that up :0) by, with, and/or beholden to is what made it all worth the while. As I went into a wonderful simplistic building in the downtown area of Atlanta, I felt the ambience of Truth, Progression, and Affirmative Action in my very bosom... I knew that I was doing the right thing. Rushed through security, then upstairs to sign-in as a speaker, then directed to my seat... the hustle, the bustle... felt too over-rated for someone like me – but then I thought of the cause.

So my thought for today is this... when you're in your purpose Glory comes. WOW let me say that again. When you're in purpose, living within your destiny, Glory, Praise, and Recognition comes, even when you don't want or feel that you deserve it. BE YOU... If you have heard nothing else from my blogs, if nothing else has stirred your Spirit, please remember these words.... BE YOU!

It is you that will fulfill the hopes and dreams of a masses you could never account for. It is YOU that will transform the thoughts of despair and guilt, fear and hopelessness into confidence and structured power! It is YOU the you that you're not sure about that will transcend a world of discouragement... it is YOU that we're waiting for.

TODAY BE YOU! STAND for YOU! Stand FOR YOU! Stand for You!

The beach

11.7.11
Last Thursday, my classmates/close friends and I went to the beach :) We decided to take the day off and have fun. I have to admitt that we've never had a "day" like this, but it was GREATTTT, really really really really hot, but it was worth it.

We went to see an International Surf Competition and then to eat and have nice refreshing drinks. I'm not gonna say much today, BUT, is just SO nice to have friends like them :) I'll let the pictures say everything :)

Enjoy.

I love you all SO SO SO MUCH :)

The calming sound of the rain.

5.7.11
I use to do this ALL THE TIME :)

There's nothing else that I love more than the rain, and is actually one of the things that I love most about my country, we live in a tropical part of Central America, and it rains ALL THE TIME, the part that I don't like is that it usually comes with a huge wave of heat and it kills me, I hate being hot. But when it rains, there you have me, being the happiest person on earth.

Well, what I DO love with all my heart is exactly what I'm doing right now: Laying on my couch, watching movies, having coffee and chocolate chip cookies while I listen to the calming sound of the rain.

You gotta love that right?

That part of life where you simply WAIT...

1.7.11

I don't know about you, but as far as I'm concern, I've had a lot of "stages" of my life where I'm just simply waiting for an answer from God and I'm challenged and encouraged to be PATIENT, and wait IN HIM, not in my own strength, not in my own desires, just wait and rely in him.

Well, I'm in one of those places right now, I'm being challenged to believe in his word and trust that everything is going to be OK. I decided to -once again- believe him. I posted some verses I found in the scriptures in this group on facebook that I'm in with several youth members of my church and I got 2 responses that made me feel calm, peaceful and with strength, and I would love to share them with you:

All my longings lie open before you, Lord;
my sighing is not hidden from you.
LORD, I wait for you;you will answer, Lord my God.

LORD, do not forsake me; do not be far from me,
my God. Come quickly to help me, my Lord
                              and my Savior.
Psalm 38: 9, 15, 21, 22.

And my friend George posted some verses too :) :

Return to your rest, my soul,
for the LORD has been good to you.
For you, LORD, have delivered me from death,
   my eyes from tears,
   my feet from stumbling,
that I may walk before the LORD
in the land of the living.
Psalm 116:7-9

When hard pressed, I cried to the LORD;
he brought me into a spacious place.
Psalm 118: 5

You who fear him, trust in the LORD
he is their help and shield.
Psalm 115: 11

And so, this is why the Bible says that his world is a living word, because no matter in what troubles we might be, he always comforts us in our troubles and gives us hope and faith to keep on going.

Blessings.
