Katie

23.1.11

After reading about this girl, my life has changed, really, it has changed SO MUCH!, I think that this is the most inspiring thing I have ever ever read in my life. Since I can remember, one of my life time dreams has been to go to Africa and just SERVE there, all of them! Sometimes, actually all the time, would just like to have the power to change the world, and I not only mean a bit part of it, I mean THE WHOLE WORLD, have the sufficient money to feed the people that don't have anything to eat, buy all the medicine in the world to cure those who don't have the power to do so, build a house for those who don't have a place to sleep in. Lead the whole world to Jesus, show them that there is someone who LOVES and CARES about them no matter what. Multiply myself in 100,000,000,000 just to GIVE
But I can't.

And that breaks my heart into pieces, and I can only wait in the Lord, wait in him that he will someday use me in such a way that I will be able to change people's lives, that I'll bring food to the hungry, water to the thirsty, health to the sick, peace to those who don't know what that word means, the peace of God.My prayer is that God will use millions of people to change the world, God will use his children to serve the rest of them who can't do it by themselves. I have faith, I choose to believe in that, I choose to pray for that, for the rest of my life.

Last week, we were supose to create this project for anything that we wanted (Graphic Design Major), based on our life philosophy, and to be honest, I HAD NO IDEA what to do, till I came across that blog.

My life Philosophy is based in my belief in God, his word and living for him and by him. It is based on this passage pretty much.

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving"
Colosians 3:23-24

So, after reading Katie's blog, I knew exactly what to do. (light bomb), I was gonna create a corporate image for her ministry. So I started with the logo, keeping her Original Ministry name, *Amazima*, which means "the truth of God", creating a logo that meant the renovation we always have in the Lord, that, because I found interesting that of course, is not an easy thing to adopt 14 girls and drop everything back in her country to go live in Africa for the rest of her life, that's kinda overwhelming actually, and I ADMIRE HER SOOOO MUCH.

So, here's the logo. The concept of this logo is basically the meaning that we always COME FROM God, (he is represented with the cristal ball) but we always have to return to him to renew ourselves in strenght. It also forms a heart shape!!

And I also created a Brochure, to make the fundraising a easier (communication with the rest of the people, to encourage them to donate). Because she only has girls in her house, I made the colours a lot girlish, friendly and attractive. So here it is. Remember that is folded like a triptych.

So, this was my project, I enjoyed doing it so much. It doesn't change the world, but at least I helped someone who does.

Katie, even though I don't know you, you are a great inspiration in my life and I love you with the love of Christ, may God bless your ministry!!!

"For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith." (Romans 1:17)

..........Goals for this year :)

13.1.11
Last week, I was watching this documentary about addictions, goals for life and how does the brain work exactly, and one of the things that really got my attention was the Psychologist saying how people tend to make a list of new golds or aspirations when a new year beggins, but there were so many things on the list that wasn't as easy as it seems to accomplish all of them, so, her advice was that we should just focus in ONE goal for the year, and put ALL OF OUR ATTENTION in that goal throughout the year. But...I honestly refuse that idea, that's maybe for someone who does not have the capability to focus in several things at the same time -just like men- (just kidding), but being a woman, and may I say, a multitask woman, and trusting God in each and every one of this goals that are on my mind, I will accomplish them! I know I will. But to be honest, I wont make a huge list of things, just a couple maybe!...such as:

1-Pray more and find new ways to improve my relationship with the Lord.
2-Read at least a book for everymonth of the year, that's 12 books, which still sounds like few books.
3-Have fun -different kind of fun, such as, paintball, horseback riding, traveling, etc. with my friends, family and boyfriend.
4-go visit orphans with some nonprofit organization
5-Go to Guatemala for a weekend (at least)
6-take more pictures!!
7-Blog more often!
8-Work more for the youth and children at church.

Not asking for too much, just 8!, I hope I can make it, I'll let you know!
