| Key Lime Pie :) :) :) |
After a very exhausting, tiring, crazy, afflicting, full of stress and worries last couple of days. I finally have a little bit of time to sit down and write as I have a hot cup of coffee and a piece of key lime pie from my favorite place: Viva Espresso!! Believe me; I’ve been waiting for this moment like a kid waiting for summer break.
Where do I start? Can’t believe that so much has happened only in a couple of days.
For starters, just imagine this:
Me in my last week of school (SO many projects to work on), sitting in front of the computer the entire day, and if I wasn’t there, I was at school. I took 7 classes this semester and it was crazy, so just go figure the amount of projects and homework I had.
- 1 My brother
My brother’s accident (this was the worst part of my week). Turns out I was at my house doing homework and I get this call from my mom with a very worried voice asking me where I was, I told her and I haven’t even finish my sentence when she told me that Stephan (middle brother) just had an accident and that I needed to go to the hospital immediately ‘cause I was closest person to get there (luckily the hospital is like at 4 blocks from my house). I RAN like I’ve never done it before in my life, I felt like I had my heart in my hands!. I go into the hospital asking for him and I see him across the hall with his pants covered in blood and his nose completely covered with bandages and filled with blood. I was petrified! In small randomness words he asked me if I had seen his girlfriend, I said no, he said: she was with me when I had the accident (he has a motorcycle and he ran into some girl that didn’t look both sides when she crossed the streets), we start looking for his girlfriend everywhere in the streets, my brother with a completely broken nose, with a WHOLLLEEEE lot of pain, in shock and worried about his girlfriend-just imagine this chaotic picture- plus, at the hospital, they couldn’t do anything for him ‘cause it’s a national hospital and he doesn’t have health insurance, so we were waiting for my dad to pick us up to take him to a private hospital.
Dad shows up, we find his girlfriend, she had a broken ankle, he takes the both of them to the hospital, I stay at home, in shock, with a huge migraine and still nervous. I thank the Lord that this accident wasn’t worse than it was. I pray that my brother learns this lesson-to whatever the Lord is trying to say to him- I hope he listens and obeys. I really do!
- 2 Grandma:
If you have read my latest 2 post, I’ve talked about my grandma, how she had a very difficult knee surgery and how she was recovering from all of it.
Well, what can I tell you? She’s not having that much pain (from her knee) but she’s desperate about her gastritis, now, that really hurts!, but she’s a stubborn grandma ‘cause she just doesn’t want TO EAT! So, just go figure the amount of pills she’s taking for her knee, now, go figure the kind of pain in her stomach! We are forcing her to eat because she has to. PERIOD.
- 3 School
Projects are NOT EASY. Like:
- Design a collection/luxury book with 7 other people is equal to chaos. Trust me.
- Design a full programmed portfolio in flash. Flash and I have a love/hate relationship.
- Design a magazine, a blog and a group presentation.
- Design another magazine of 20 pages.
- Design a website for an institutional company.
- Design a complete book cover for a dead man.
- Design a FULL campaign (mupis, posters, coupons, newspaper ads, normal ads, etc) For Nine West.
JUST TO GIVE YOU AND IDEA FOR WHAT I’VE BEEN UP TO (all of this, plus family problems).
I had the most important final presentation of the semester like 2 hours ago, and thank God we did GREAT! J and then I had my portfolio (the flash one) presentation right after and I also did great.
Luckily I have the day off tomorrow, and I just have 2 projects to go and then I’m DONE. THANK GOD.
Bad news is that I’m finishing the semester on Monday and that same day I start summer school! L it was obligation for all of us, but we already look like zombies, let’s see how we manage this.
Yet, I’m still thankful and blessed for all that God has shown me these days, and I couldn’t love him more.

| Shirts we designed for the book presentation, plus a button :) My group mates designed it actually! I wrote the whole book. Fair enough. Jen |
