The place people call "The Gym"

23.6.11

One of my resolutions for this year was to enrole in a gym (I know, we're almost in July) and so I was encouraged by my own mom to go with her, she started off this past Monday and I started on Tuesday. And let me tell you something: nothing made me happier than to see my mom SO full of energy and happiness because she started it. She has already lost about 34 pounds from diets and restraining herself from junk food... I couldn't be more proud of her, and actually I could totally and completely agree that losing weight and trying to have a better/healthier life makes you a happier person. I can see it in her, she's another woman.

I gained weight since I'm in college, because, you know, there's NO healthy food on campus, I barely have time to take a proper (and by proper I mean a LONG) shower and basically time to take care of myself. That plus being on the computer almost the entire day because I'm a graphic design student, YOU LIVE on your computer. However, I think that is our own responsibility to take care of our body. OUR HEALTH COMES FIRST than our career.

So, I joined the gym with my mom. So here's the sum up:

I HATED IT, haaa!

The gym is HUGE, and we went at around 6 p.m. and it was FULL of people, mostly sweaty disgusting men. YUK.

At first I made 10 minutes of spinning (two men beside me sweating like pigs) and I started to get really really really dizzy and wanted to throw up. Seriously, I got off the machine and I felt like I was gonna pass out or something, I had to sit on the floor as my mom and my trainer watched me turning white as paper, they went to go get me something sweet because apparently, my blood pressure was too low. I couldn't do anything else, that was it 10 MINUTES of spinning was my first day at the gym. Hilarious.

My mom was worried at first, asking me every minute if I felt good, well, I didn't. I just saw all those sweaty people and my stomach would twist as if I was on a roller coaster. That, plus I felt like the place was too big but almost with no windows, so we were all smelling each other's sweat, so so gross. Then, I hated the gym.

Yesterday I decided to go to another gym because just the thought of going back to that other gym made me sick. So we went to this gym that is close to my house and it was MUCH better. I made 2 hours of thighs exercise, including 10 minutes of spinning at the end and I did not feel sick at all! I loved the gym yesterday, and I plan to keep on loving it :)

Special K by Kellogs with sliced banana and apple for dinner :) yumm.
