.......................A normal Sabbath!

6.2.11
Today, I'm gonna blog about what's a "normal Sabbath" to me!...as some of you know, me and my family (and the whole church) keep the Sabbath, which is great and beautiful!..

So, I've been wanting to blog about it for a while now, but I just couldn't do it without pictures!, too hard to explain without them!, so, here it goes...enjoy.

The trampoline is just like this!...it's in my yard.

*My sabbath starts really from Friday 6 p.m. cause you know, Jesus counted days from the evening of the day before, so, that's how we do it, that's how the bible says. So we go pick up my nephews & niece to my brother's house, we usually have pupusas together as a family and then we come home. The kids jump on the trampoline for a while (which they LOVE), and then my mom and I give them a shower, bursh their teeth and put on pj's, we don't watch t.v. or anything like that on sabbath, so we just talk, tell them stories and then they go to bed.
Next morning, my sweet dog wakes me up by licking my feet and barking at me, that plus my niece telling me: auntieee wake uppp!! we have to go get ready for church!...
So the shower beggins to run for the whole family, I iron their clothes and change them, and they go jump while we get ready haha.
*We have breakfast in the car..cause it's always late...and it gets pretty noisy cause they yell when they talk.

Both of my nephews and Me...while we're going up  to church :)

*It's quite a ride we have!...in a 5 people car, it's the four of us (Mom, Dad, Brother and Me), and my 2 nephews (which are not that small) and my niece!...all the way up...oh btw, my church is in the volcano!!! and I say IN...cause it's actually 1/2 km. from the crater! how fun is that? yep...I go walking to see this MAJESTIC view...

So this is the view I get when I walk to see it, it's actually
Great cause this use to be a lake, and years ago when it
exploded and after it got dry, this little crater formed inside
of the volcano!. how cool is that?
Another view!, actually, the youth group (years ago)
had a trip AROUND the crater, so we walked and
walked and walked like crazy!, from 6:00 a.m. till 6:30 p.m
worse trip of my life! I didn't enjoy it! haha.

Continuing with my day!...on our way up, this is something you would usually find in the road...

Cows!

And this is my pretty church!...where my dad is a pastor and my mom and I get to serve all the children!..

It didn't look like this before! we WORKED so much to get it
to look this way!, before, it was a dirt floor, wooden benches
iron roof with a lot of holes...I am proud of all of them

I must say, that the people that go to church, are very poor, some live with barely $50.00 a month, I've heard stories that break my heart into pieces, like this baby that died because of the cold weather, they lived in a house made out of boxes....

And though we try to help them all, we can't afford it sometimes, not all!...we do what we can do! and we pray a lot. Lots of lives have been changed! and we praise the Lord for that.

Next off...

The precious children I get to serve! and Though they are VERY
stubborn sometimes, I LOVE THEM! and I love to teach them
what I know and sing with them!

Sweet Melissa, she always makes drawings for me :)
Jonathan, Dilber and Esteban (nephew)
Maria Helena and Esteban (niece and nephew), after the morning
service, we always have ice cream :)

Marjorie, Kevin and Diego (older nephew)
This is Lucerito! she's so cute!...her mom is
currently fighting against
cancer! we are all praying for her.
While we wait for lunch, we have time to talk, take pictures, the kids go around church and play!...and we have some time to rest!...
Sometimes I take a nap hehe...it's needed to survive the rest of the day!, the kids take energy and batteries need to be replaced!

And sometimes, just like yesterday, I have too much work to do and can't rest!, I had to help daddy to design some stuff for the administration and I spent half of my day on my computer, but I was glad cause I was working for the Lord!.

All the women take turns to make lunch for everyone (for free), and sometimes is my turn with a group of beautiful ladies...it was my turn last saturday, I made spaghettis for everyone :) with chessee :D, I could take pics yesterday of all the ladies that were in the kitchen, so here you go...

Hermana Isabel! I LOVE HER...and she's the best cook!
making tortillas!!!! :D we had rice and beans..and salad, it was yumm

This is Emily!..cutest baby ever! I tried to make her
laugh but didn't make it. :( booo...
Sarah, Nery and Marjorie! besties
The girls usually do my hair after lunch haha, they usually braid my hair. and they fight over who has the biggest part of it! it hurts, but it's fun! and sometimes I fall asleep.

At 2:00 p.m. we have the youth service (Don't know why I didn't take pictures of this!!!!!), and it's fun!, I'm usually the one that leads worship. I love it. I love to sing for the Lord! and though all of them are pretty shy, they're great people! very good friends and VERY honest with eachother.
After we are done, everyone makes a line outside the kitchen to get sweet bread and coffee! before the last service beggins. And this time, I laughed my bumm off when I saw both of my nephews lining up with the adults to get a cup of coffee! haha...they were cold I guess...
HOW FUNNY IS THIS?

After coffee we have the last service of the day!, the kids get to learn and draw...

Helen and her drawing

On our way down...we get to see this, and MORE there
are great places to stop and just look at the lights of the
city! it's great!

Lots of restaurants up there...so good, with national coffee and great weather. We often stop by somewhere to take coffee and have a good time watching the lights of the city! enjoying the pure air we get to have there and quality family time! who doesn't love that?

After that we pretty much get home and REST! watch a movie together and have dinner as a family! LOVE IT. wouldn't change a thing of it!

If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath,
From doing your pleasure on My holy day,
And call the Sabbath a delight,
The holy day of the LORD honorable,
And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways,
      Nor finding your own pleasure,
      Nor speaking your own words,
        Then you shall delight yourself in the LORD;
And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth,
And feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father.
The mouth of the LORD has spoken.” ISAIAH 58:13-14
